About InApps

InApps Technology is a software engineering company headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City, with client-facing offices in the United Kingdom and Australia. We build dedicated offshore teams and offshore development centres for companies that want engineers accountable for the outcome rather than the ticket queue. Founded in 2016 by people who had spent years on the client side of offshore contracts that technically delivered. Today: 750+ projects, clients in 15+ countries, ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified, and 4.9/5 across 50+ verified Clutch reviews.

Our story

Why InApps exists

Before InApps, our founders spent years on the client side of offshore contracts. The projects were delivered. The requirements were met. Sign-off came through on schedule. And a surprising number of the products still failed.

The problem was never talent. Vietnam had plenty of it then and has more now. The problem was that nobody on the vendor side was accountable for whether the thing worked once it shipped. Tickets closed. Outcomes drifted. Everyone had done their job and the product was still wrong.

So InApps was built around the opposite arrangement.

01

Accountable for the outcome

Engineers are accountable for the result, not for clearing a queue.

02

You pick every person

You interview every person before they join your team, and you can say no.

03

Your repository, your accounts

The code lives in your repository and the cloud accounts are in your name.

04

Thirty days to walk away

If we are not earning our place by month six, leaving costs you thirty days of notice and nothing else.

What has not changed since 2016

The willingness to say noWe decline work we cannot staff properly, which costs revenue and is the reason the delivery record reads the way it does.
Meet our CEO

A message from our founder

Offshore does not mean out of sight. We are here to build with you, not just for you.

He founded InApps in 2016 on a single conviction: an offshore team can work as a real partner rather than a vendor, and should be held to that standard. More than a decade of experience across Southeast Asia, the UK and North America went into the company he built in Ho Chi Minh City.

Core values

Five words, and what each one costs us

A value you have never turned down money for is a preference, not a value.

Integrity

We tell you the estimate we believe, not the one that wins the deal. When a date is going to slip you hear it the week we know, not the week it slips.

Expertise

Senior engineers only, and no juniors billed as mid-levels. If nobody on the bench has done the thing before, we say so and tell you who has.

Quality

Tests, review gates and monitoring are in scope from the first sprint. They are not the line item that gets cut when the schedule tightens.

Professional

English good enough to disagree with you in a design review. Written handovers. Notice periods honoured in both directions, without a renegotiation.

Ownership

The one the other four exist to support. An engineer here is accountable for whether the feature works in production, not for whether the ticket is closed.

Our foundation

Four groups, and what each one is owed

An engineering firm that serves only its clients runs out of engineers.

For customers

Work that holds up after handover, and a straight answer before you sign.

  • You interview and approve every engineer, and you can say no
  • Code in your repository, cloud in your accounts, IP assigned to you
  • Thirty days of notice to leave, with no exit fee attached

For employees

A career that does not depend on which client happens to renew.

  • Permanent employment, not a per-project contract
  • Time on the AI-assisted workflow, in real repositories
  • English and system design treated as engineering skills

For owners

A business that compounds, which means turning down the wrong work.

  • Multi-year engagements over one-off project revenue
  • No engagement staffed by borrowing from another one
  • Growth from retention first and new logos second

For society

Vietnam exports engineering, and what that looks like is partly our problem.

  • Senior roles created locally rather than exported
  • Mentoring and open-source time inside working hours
  • Certified information security, audited rather than asserted

Leads technical strategy and solution architecture across every ODC engagement. The person who decides whether we can genuinely staff a stack, or whether we should say no.

Below them the roster is the usual shape: tech leads, software engineers, AI and ML engineers, QA automation, DevOps and SRE, designers and product managers. The staff augmentation and ODC pages set out how those roles are assembled into a team.

Where we are

One engineering office, two front doors

Worth being blunt about: every engineer who touches your code sits in Ho Chi Minh City.

Vietnam

Headquarters and all engineering. Ho Chi Minh City, on company-controlled infrastructure rather than a network of subcontractors. UTC+7, which gives Sydney a full shared working day, London an afternoon overlap and US teams a real handover window.

United Kingdom

Client-facing, since 2024. Contracting, commercial and account work for European clients in a European timezone. No delivery team sits here, and we would rather say that than imply otherwise.

Australia

Client-facing, APAC. The first market we served from outside Vietnam and still the easiest one to work with on time zones: a Ho Chi Minh City team overlaps an Australian one for almost the whole day.

Platforms

What we build on, in your accounts

We hold no reseller agreement with any of them, and none of this is billed through us.

Cloud

AWS, Azure and Google Cloud, provisioned in your organisation rather than ours. You hold the root account and the bill, which is also what makes leaving cheap.

Delivery

Docker and Kubernetes where the workload earns them, Terraform for anything we would otherwise click together by hand. Pipelines live in your repository.

Everything else

The full language, framework and data list is on the homepage. It runs to about thirty marks, and the honest version is that we have staffed most things that are in production somewhere.

Life at InApps

The parts that are hard to put in a deck

Three InApps engineers working side by side at laptops in a meeting room at the Ho Chi Minh City office
Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
  • Everyone is a permanent employee

Nobody here is on a contract that ends when a client engagement does, which is the single biggest reason an engineer stays on your team long enough to be useful on it.

  • English is treated as an engineering skill rather than a soft one

The second stage of the hiring process is a client-facing scenario, because an engineer who cannot push back on a bad requirement in a design review is not senior, whatever the CV says.

  • The AI-assisted workflow is not a pitch slide

Engineers get time on it in real repositories with real review gates, and we will demonstrate it in yours before you commit to anything.

What clients say about working with us

Every quote below is from a verified review. None of them were written by us.

“They don’t just build what you ask for. They think about the end result, and then go beyond it.”

James Fitzgerald
CTO, computer software company

“They find the right developers fast, and actually listen when you push back. That combination is harder to find than it sounds.”

Arno Nederlof
Lead developer, healthtech company

“Clear expectations, rules that actually hold, delivered on time. And the people are genuinely easy to work with, not just professionally, but as humans.”

What is InApps Technology?
InApps Technology is a Vietnamese software engineering company founded in 2016 and headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City, with client-facing offices in the United Kingdom and Australia. It builds dedicated offshore teams, offshore development centres and project-based software for companies in more than fifteen countries. It has delivered 750+ projects, holds ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification, and rates 4.9 out of 5 across 50+ verified reviews on Clutch, where it is ranked first among software developers in Vietnam.
How big is the company, and where do the engineers actually sit?
Every engineer who touches your code sits in the Ho Chi Minh City office, on company-controlled infrastructure. We are not a network of subcontractors and we do not place freelancers. The offices in the United Kingdom and Australia are commercial and account-facing, which is worth stating plainly because a lot of firms let a London address imply a London delivery team. Ask us for a current headcount for the specific stack you need and you will get a real number rather than a company total.
Who owns the code and the intellectual property?
You do, from the first commit. Work is done in your repository, on cloud accounts held in your name, with intellectual property assigned to you in the agreement rather than transferred at the end. An NDA is signed before anyone gets access and the first access is read-only. The practical test of all this is what leaving looks like: thirty days of notice, no exit fee, and nothing to migrate because none of it was ever on our side.
How do you hire, and what does the pass rate actually mean?
Four stages, applied company-wide rather than per service: live coding and system design, then technical communication and English in a client-facing scenario, then agile collaboration and ownership, then a technical panel with reference and background checks. A small single-digit percentage of applicants come through all four. Then you interview the shortlist yourself and you can reject anyone, which is the part that matters more than our number does.
Is InApps ISO 27001 certified, or just aligned?
Certified, to ISO/IEC 27001:2022. There is no ISO logo on this page because ISO forbids certified organisations from using its mark, which is why the badge in the row above is our own icon next to the standard name rather than a borrowed logo. Ask for the certificate and the scope statement and you will get both. On top of that, access follows least privilege, first access to any system is read-only, and an NDA is in place before it.
What are the working hours like from Europe, the US or Australia?
Ho Chi Minh City is UTC+7. Australia is the easy one: a team here overlaps an Australian one for most of the working day. Europe gets an afternoon overlap, and teams working with European clients shift their hours to widen it. North America is a genuine handover rather than an overlap, and the honest way to run it is asynchronous, with written updates and a short window of live time rather than a pretence of full coverage. We will tell you which of the three you are before you sign, and we will put the agreed hours in the contract.
Which services do you actually run?
Why should a company outsource to Vietnam rather than somewhere nearer?
For an Australian or Asian company the timezone answer is obvious and the rate answer is large. For a European or American one the case is narrower and worth testing rather than assuming: you are trading some live overlap for a senior engineer at a rate you would not get at home, and whether that trade works depends far more on how your team writes things down than on which country the engineer is in. We would rather you ran a paid two-week pilot than took our word for it, and we would rather lose a deal on a bad fit than staff it badly.
Let’s start

Tell us what you are building

Send the shape of the problem and where it is stuck. We come back with whether we are the right firm for it, which roles it needs, and roughly how long the first useful thing takes. If the answer is that you should hire locally or that another firm fits better, we will say that instead.
